About Us – Profit Guide Accountants.
About us -Hi, I’m Tracey Kelk, owner of Profit Guide Accountants. So, what incredibly interesting things can I tell you about myself?
Well, on a personal level, I’m a mum of two boys Alex and Christian and one dog, a West Highland Terrier called Indy.
As a family, we love riding our bikes, walking in the countryside and through woods, and pretty much try to get out in the fresh air as often as possible. Previously I completed my first 50 mile cycle ride, and hopefully I’ll be running a 10k race soon.
I love music and I’ve been trying to learn guitar for too many years now. While I’ll never win a grammy, I like to think I can strum a nice little tune, and most importantly, I enjoy it!
On a business level, I’ve been an accountant for well lets just say all my working life! (A girl can only disclose so much information) and while I understand that a lot of people won’t understand this, I absolutely love doing my job!
When deciding on a career path to take, after university, I looked at all the various options available, and accountancy struck a chord with me… It was the only stable career, that will allow you to work in pretty much any industry in the world. While accountancy may appear to be a boring subject, shuffling numbers to many people, to me, it is the backbone of a business, good figures and accounting practices can make or break a business… I know, I’m not convincing you, but it all makes perfect sense to me!
So, fast forward to 2012, when I started Profit Guide Accountants. I have come to the point in my career where I want to work with companies who are passionate about what they do. I’m also really keen on taking advantage of green tax benefits and subsidies, helping the environment and helping our businesses.
For the future, I have set myself many goals, but first and foremost, is going to be enjoying my business and my family 🙂
