A new study by the accountancy software giant, Sage, shows that while accountants have become the most trusted of all services available to small and medium businesses, when it comes to sensible advice about their business, it seems that most businesses still aren’t using their accountant to full effect.

Paul Tooth, the MD at Sage, had this to say “The UK accountancy profession is now ideally suited to be an integral partner to UK small businesses, but it’s surprising that so few are taking the full advantage beyond the basic book keeping… There is no one better placed to provide advice and guidance on your business and with optimism returning to many parts of the economy, it has never been more important to keep your accountant close”
